Local Minds

The Local Minds service from Mind provides support for over 513,000 people across England and Wales. Their services include supported housing, crisis helplines, drop-in centres, employment and training schemes, councelling and befrending. Linked are the Local Minds in the area if you feel like you need their help. 



Childline helps anyone under the age of 19 with any issue they may be going through. You can talk about anything, no matter how big or small, with trained consellors who will be there to help and support you. 



SAFA is a local service that helps people with mental health, particularly for those who struggle with eating disorders or self-harm. At the monemt they are signposting, as  they were no longer accepting referrals from 15/05/2019, however that may change and there is plenty of advice on their website. 


Young Minds

Young Minds is the UK's leading charity fighting for children and young people's mental health. They have a wealth of advice on their website, so if you need to find help there are plenty of resources for you to use.

Sexual Health - Birchwood Clinic

The Birchwood Clinic is the local sexual health and emergency contraception service in the Barrow-in-Furness area. If you want to know more, need a walk-in consilt, or think you need to book an appointment follow the link above. 



Brook is a charity that helps young girls with a range of issues such as contraception, staying safe online, abuse and pregnancy. They also have a test you can complete to see what type of contraception is the best one for you.
